THE LAST WARNING

James Hansen, the director of the Goddard Institute of Space Sciences (NASA), an adjunct professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University and science advisor to Al Gore, often termed as Godfather of Global Warming Science, at once (June 1988) brought the ill-effects of global warming to the public, for the first time. Exactly 20 years after that, Hansen is back now - "This is the last chance. We're toast if we don't get on a very different path".

Hansen said the earth's atmosphere needs to get back to 1988 levels (350 ppm CO2) , at least. Last month, it was 10% higher - 386.7 ppm. The slow disasters waiting in the queue are sea-level rises, glacier retreat, Arctic shrinkage ("The Arctic is the first tipping point" - Hansen), ecosystem collapse, tropical diseases, economy hit and even may be the mass extinction of species.

A red warning on the green house! Let us not see the human extinction in our life-time. Postpone it.
